Luce Douady: French 16-year-old climber kicks the bucket from fall



A 16-year-old future star of the climbing scene has kicked the bucket in the wake of tumbling from a bluff in south-eastern France.

Luce Douady was going to an unexplored segment of a bluff close to Grenoble when she slipped and tumbled from the methodology way, French media report.

Her body has been recuperated and an examination opened, as indicated by Le Dauphiné. The specific conditions of her passing are indistinct.

Tributes have been paid from the universe of pro athletics climbing.

The game's administering body the International Federation of Sport Climbing considered her a "youthful, splendid and gifted competitor".
